Missisquoi Valley Rescue, Inc. (MVR) was founded in 1976 by a committed group of community members who saw the need for a dedicated emergency medical service in the Missisquoi Valley of northwest Vermont.

The community based not-for-profit Advanced Life Support ambulance service you see responding to medical emergencies in, Highgate, Swanton and the surrounding communities is the result of their foresight over 45 years ago.
